Snapshots of our week

There was......

Seeking quiet at my desk during another very busy work week...

An opportunity to share my love of rhubarb with a Year 3 class... Not one of them had tasted it before...my legacy to them is that now they have...

Sneaky shots of my gorgeous husband.....such a creative being finding his way in this crazy world...

A co-ordinated day off together to hit a long list of things that needed doing....most importantly hitting the travel agent for ideas on our "Winter Christmas" plan...

Some hard lessons in not eating your dinner up with everyone else....no more late afternoon  snacks for this guy.....

There was warm Milo and "Tim Tams" to fend off the wet and dreary day at school....

Putting to good use the generous amount of eggs we have....and the extra rhubarb that I cooked....

Then there was soccer.....Saturday and Sunday this weekend....
Wet ....

Then Sunny......

We needed a stand in coach for the Sunday morning match.......Coach Bron and her handsome lines umpire........

Couldn't do that every week...too stressful in those games we could have won but ended in a draw.....

And that brings us to the start of another week....

Hope you have a great one. xxx

Snapshots of our week

* A road trip south with my sister started the week....we went to visit a friend and enjoyed taking in the sights of her little country town...

* The gardens where we had morning tea were beautiful in all their winter glory.....

* Loving when I notice my kids have actually come when they tackle a job that once would have been mine.....

* I have been working full time in the relief teaching role....this week I spent two days in a year one class that tested me greatly. Lets just say I was ready for bed by 7.00pm both those nights....

* There was bad wacky hair day too this week.....blue hairspray and a piggy tail was about my creativity this time round. ...

* An impromptu opportunity to have a coffee and cake  date with my hubby....actually killing time while waiting for one of the kids events to be over. We did do a little research and dreaming about pulling off a White Christmas...hmmm call us crazy!

* Soccer season only has a few more games to go....it has been a stressful season this year...not too many wins which can be a little demoralizing.....but at least the "spring like sun" was shining for us this weekend....

* Family celebrations for nieces birthdays...always a great time to come together as a family to eat , tell tales and catch up on all our busy days....

* We are all feeling a little "harried" these days and so I loved snapping this pic of my crew throwing hoops just before dinner....

Have a great week....and here's to being a little less "harried" xxxx

Snapshots of our week

A few hours were spent at IKEA last weekend. Meg's friend had her 17th birthday there. A scavenger hunt followed by lunch in the cafe! They had a heap of fun finding and solving tasks set by the birthday girl. What was I to do but spend the few hours leisurely wandering and making decisions on what needed to come home with us.

The winners were two large mirrors. One for Meg's room and one for our lounge room. Both of which have now made themselves very at home.

My beanie from CarriesBeanies4BrainCancer arrived in the mail. Just in time for the cold snap that we have been having here. I love it and I know my big girl would have loved it too.

I have had a little time to read ... found this little book at a community bookshelf while waiting for my hot chocolate  down south during the school holidays. When I saw this book I remembered Fraser talking about having read it at school....it was an interesting short read.

We have had family pizza night...the best kind of pizza.

Being thankful for the golden eggs that our chicks give us daily.  Able to make last minute unplanned dinners of Frittata as a result.

Making the most of soccer training waiting ...reading in the car.

Our couple of oil diffusers are going overtime as we have sickness in the house and with working full time in classrooms filled with sick little ones we are doing all we can to ward of the germs and stop the spread.

Olympic fever is spreading. My class I relieved in the last two days was representing "Romania" in the Olympic school parade.
It has been a hectic two weeks of working full time and the weekends just seem to go so fast. It is a busy one this weekend but hopefully not before I get a little sneaky sleep in...or maybe that soccer game is an early one...doh!!!!

I have dabbled a little further than I normally would this week with social media. I have been playing around with Instagram...... reconnecting with some old friends and being a little instant in my sharing.....I am hoping it will actually inspire me to take those photos amongst the crazy days and that will translate to showing up here a little more.

Have a great weekend my friends
