Around here....

I feel like I have lost my way this last week...missed some of my regular blogging....trying to keep up with the days flying past.....

The school holidays finished...week one of term is nearly done......there have already been conversations about the end of the year and what it may bring.....
and tonight, news of sudden sadness that brings you right back to the moment.......

So days I feel like we are just holding on for the ride.....barely stopping to savour the moment....

If not for the snapping of the ordinary in our days i would struggle to remember what the days held....

So here's to the ordinary captured for the purpose of making the blur seem clearer.

Ahhhhh another weekend almost gone....school holidays are here so a change of gears in in order around here....

Easter Weekend- 

A beautiful clear skied weekend with temps in the low 30's

Perfect for a movie night in the park organised by our church

Fantastic time spent with like minded, celebrating all that Easter is to us

Gifts of Chickens GIVEN

Egg Hunting in the backyard....hosted by us this year.

Eggs for all...big and small......people as well as eggs

The anti is upped the older they get...much more competitive indeed

Still the grandads do a fine job at finding trickier hiding places each year.

 

So feasting on good food.....time in each others company ...and a touch  truckload of chocolate , sees the end of another Easter.

We still have two more days of relaxing ahead of us then back to school for 2 1/2 weeks before we break for holidays.

Sunday Snippets - The Birthday Edition

The Little Guy turned Eight.......

Nothing fancy...just cousins and a mate....

Some Lego playing, a movie, pizzas, chocolate deserts, popcorn and fizzy drink...

and of course a cake made and decorated by his big sister...

Enough fun and frivolity for this household to handle...

So that brings to the end, for a little while the birthday celebrating in our little family.

Birthday celebrations have made for some busy weekends lately....

Now we get to sit back and enjoy other's birthdays in our extended family...at least I am not 

having to do the planning or cake baking for those.

Onwards and upwards headlong into another Monday.
