* Happy two birthday wishes for one of the littlest members of the family.

* A gifted frangipani liking the warm sun

* Maybe too many lemonades trying to get a grip

* The tomatoes are coming along nicely

*A spot of softie making just for the heck of it....or some Christmas present ideas.

Can you believe another weekend has gone.......gotta love a Monday cleanup after a busy weekend.....

Playgroup Alphabet Craft Part 3

I thought I would show you the last part of our alphabet craft we have been working on weekly at playgroup......

We had so much fun with these letters...all the families and children really looked forward in anticipation as to what the week's letter was going to be....

So I am loving.....my job, finishing the alphabet, excited children and mums who participated....and especially Angus and his mum for letting me see all his work displayed proudly.

Ten On Ten....Sunday

Luckily I had locked Ten on Ten in my phone....so when it beeped at me come 8.00am I was prompted to try and photograph my day....

Sunday's are quite hectic for us......starting here...

Making preparations for kids church.....I am the Children's Pastor at our church...so Sunday is action day for me..... 

Today we used water as an object lesson to teach the children....

We do church at 8.30 am and 10.30am ....in the middle while there is a changeover or many kids staying  for both......fruit morning tea and some time to burn energy...

I was in kids church for 8.30am...and in "big church" for the 10.30am......love, love listening to my husband do what he does best, filled with passion.....

It was forecasted for a hot day......leaving church the car told us just how hot it was .....37 'C

Would love to have sat outside and enjoyed the setting left over from dinner last night....but alas inside for us to avoid the heat.....

The chickens have their shade up for the summer to help keep them comfortable....comfortable chickens ensure us fresh daily eggs.....

Some "god's eyes" making with the little guy......what a fun childhood memory relived....

I would like to say that I spent time in the hammock.....but the air conditioning was a stronger pull this afternoon....

and then we finish our Sunday's as we start them.....6.00pm church with a slightly more relaxed feel....this is not only a Sunday place for us but I spend three days a week here in my role running playgroups....

Well Sunday's are not the easiest for me to have had my camera out ....but I am glad I have recorded  what these days look like........

Things I am Loving...

The camera didn't make it out at all this week.....well except to take a pic of these cute little guys that came home from school.....

Oh

and the head shot that needed to be taken to attach to an application for an audition.....

other than that I have been busy clicking confirm on some holiday plans.....

also a lot of time spent trying to convince one little guy to "JUST PULL THAT TOOTH OUT" 

how long can a tooth just hang by a thread before it comes out????

organising a little dinner party for tomorrow night.....

scouring the house for the lost only to discover that all our cupboards really do hold a lot of stuff....most of which we really don't need!

A Thankful List

Just because what makes it into this space is the good stuff happening around us doesn't mean there isn't plenty of things that aren't so good......

I just choose to make this a happy place......I could share about the "argy bargy" between kids, the words we need to have with a teen from time to time, the stresses that plague the husband, the demands placed on us at times that weigh heavy, the cold that has hold of a little guy, the house that feels  like it is physically falling down around us........

but we all know that stuff goes on.....life ain't always grand but we can choose to put our focus somewhere that helps us get through all that stuff easier.

So onwards with sharing all the grateful/thankful list making I have been jotting down in my notebook that I carry around.

* A three egg day...all three chickens laying.

* a cooked banquet for breakfast led by the teen

*an impromptu re-fashion to clear the creative blockage.

* words that confirm a situation that seems just a co-incident but really is part of a higher plan

* a truly warm Spring Day

* the outpouring of lovely words from strangers

*the excited little guy who ran his heart out.

*discovering a love note in the little guy's bag from a secret admirer.

* the care of a small group when feeling fragile

*discovering a video of when we were new parents...just at the right moment.

*being aware of the many inspiring stories that are around us all the time.

*a husband who likes to take control in the kitchen 

* 4 eggs from 3 chickens

* lunch under the trees.

* The small fruits of our labour or luck!!!

*The most delicious Chicken Biryani that my most delicious and talented husband made...we had so much we had impromptu lunch with family on Sunday.

* I may have a slight thing for a little game that has entered the house on a new gadget.....

lucky I am patient and frugal so it won't get the better of me.

* WooHoo enough eggs to bless others with....

The sun shined very warm all weekend.....everyone was out making the most of the heat...hope we can sustain what is to come.

* Really enjoying the longer evenings already...the early evening light can have a peaceful feel to it....(and no before you ask...it was my handbag sitting in the wrong place....no a low lying belly!!!)

Well off and running for another week....thunderstorms, heat and the real summer feel headed our way.

Things I am Loving....

This week.....

 

 

 

 

It's been a busy week.....feeling torn between the many things that need my attention and the things I would like to give my attention too.....

So I am loving this week.....

The surprise of eggs every day......

Hearing glowing reports from school teachers at open night....

Seeing the little guy respond to those glowing reports....

 Relearning how to play "Cluedo" with the  kids....the game boards have changed a little since we were kids though...

Enjoying heading out into the garden and always seeing something new...

The hot weather of this week encouraging the colour in the garden.....

...sharing treats with our neighborhood kids......we don't do Halloween....We have never done witches, vampires,ghosts or ghouls with the kids growing up and so it seems strange to send them out on a night where the streets are full of them....for us ..there are far nicer things to fill their heads with.....

but saying all that I don't mind sharing treats that we may already have gathered in the house from parties and past celebrations that haven't been eaten....this year we placed them all in a basket on the bench at the front door......much to Meg and the Mr's surprise they were all very polite and helped them selves to only  a little each......which is a shame because I was hoping they would just take them all.....

There has also been orthodontist appointments, grandparent 's day at playgroup,hot hot weather, and gifts of ice cream by the bucket load......
