This week....

At Playgroup.........

( I know many of you don't stop by for a look around to see what we have been up to at playgroup but this is also a journal for me to remember and reflect on all the things going on...including playgroup)

So this week I I set up a "Sticky Wall" as inspired by here.

{Simply adhesive contact /clear book covering...taped onto a large surface with the sticky side up....materials that make for a whole lot of fun to stick...feathers, colourful tissue paper,glitter etc}

we weren't as neat as the original idea........

...but boy did they have fun...the glitter really made it!!!!

Can't wait to do it all again tomorrow! 

We also got creative with our hands.....making crabs hiding in the seaweed......
inspired here.  

 I really do love my job !!

 Is it really that long ago since she made me a mum?

Too many brithday cakes missed.....

.......today we have 16 candles that would have been ....

Just a little birthday gift sewing........well, all her sister's have their own......

And now she has one of her own too!

4 Birthday Wishes

...three  little people.......

Our extended family has grown to quite a decent size in the last little while.....

especially with the move back home of my baby sister, her hubbie and their five kids.

 

So it was decided that 2012 would be the year for celebrating birthday's by the month!

 

That means that one weekend each month we gather all together and celebrate those who have a birthday that month.

 

So we have had two months celebrated and this month, (which began this weekend with a long weekend for us here in Western Australia.)..saw four birthdays that needed a cake and celebrating.

 

 One will turn twelve

One will turn seven

One will turn two 

 

and a special one to turn sixteen.

 

I love my family and I just love celebrating with them.

Sunday Snippets

Our  weekend.....

 

 

 

Last year's Easter bunny eating, concerts, boys games, garden tidying, bird watching, eating on the new table , hanging in kids church, car detailing ....and we have a long weekend with so much more fun tomorrow.

We Went...

One day if Meg ever finds herself on the TV show RocKwiz.....and is asked the question 

"What is the first concert you ever went to?"

She can answer.....

TAYLOR SWIFT with my mum at aged 13!!!

She was very excited at what the night would hold.....oh who am I kidding ...we were both pretty excited.....

 It was an awesome concert to have been her first.....

Taylor Swift showed she knew and appreciated her audience....mainly young girls ( although there were a huge amount of guys amongst the crowd)

 It was reassuring to know that there wasn't anything that was going to be inappropriate , both in content or performance.......

The theatrics were fantastic...lighting , sparkle and glitter,acrobatics, plenty of costume changes with gorgeous dresses, ballerinas and even a bride.

She played a piano, banjos and a myriad of different guitars.....

She moved out into the crowd, so some got to be up close and personnel.....

I found myself sitting next to a very excited and appreciative young lady ....who  knew every word to every song sung !!!!!

( now I know what she has been doing  in her bedroom all that time!) 

Sadly for Meg this was as close as she got to the star of the night....

We had such a fantastic time ...

"That was the best night ever mum and I will remember that for ever......"

(Glad now we had the great idea to buy this birthday gift for her. )
