Tea in the Garden

A beautiful sunny morning.....

Perfect for tea in the garden..

Armed with my handmade goodies and chocolate balls..... 

A date with the loveliest of lovelies...

The occasion to celebrate all that was created.....

 and

The friendships that were made.... 

Our Host ... was none other than Jody at the studio......

We gathered to give and receive.....to oooh and ahhhhh....

To give a sigh of relief when our gift was well received....

I have only spent 16 weeks with these girls....like minded but all of us so very different....

Not only did we create a huge array of new garments...we have laughed and laughed, even shed a tear two.... and laughed some more.

I was truly spoilt in my secret Santa gift made by a very talented and generous lady.....

 

Thanks Jody for today and  for opening your studio doors each week... you helped me create and learn so many new things and thanks for introducing me to some great gals.

Things I am loving...

Things I am Loving this week......

 Having way too much fun with "Bozzle" our elf...found last night tucked up in bed under the tree....

A day spent with my newly 1 year old nephew... he even enjoyed our time crafting....

Preparations coming together for an event  I am co-ordinating on Sunday ...

Teachers gifts sorted....

Classroom party food done and finished with......

Now just to remember to keep the "Joy factor" in the week ahead with so much still to do....

The thing about creating in the jolly season is that most of it is secret squirrel stuff.

So lots going on and not much I can tell about, in case I let the "cat out of the bag".

We did have some celebrating in the house last night on the arrival home of a very good school report for our youngest.....

Half way through the week

Nearly half way through the month..

Almost at the end of the year....

Did you do something to mark the date?

I had intended to but ....just didn't...

  

We have had torrential rains and spectacular thunderstorms over the last 24 hours....

So much rain...but strangely not all that much wind....

So glad tonight though despite the weather  we haven't lost power.

That means that I can keep working away on all those very last minute ideas I have rumbling around in my head.....

   

Not that a loss of power would worry our visitor.....

He seems to have had his head in the bag all night!! 

When not to knit....

Last week I spotted this scenario in the carpark at work.......

 

 I promptly sent a text to the owner suggesting that there could be some danger in knitting whilst driving.......

This was her reply to me.......

Actually my sister was using her time wisely while waiting for others to arrive.....she tells me a dishcloth can be finished quite quickly during all those minutes waiting in a car.

This morning we woke to find our visitor clearly showing signs of missing his much cooler climates....

Monday

Headed into the city today armed with the Christmas "wish Lists"........

 It was a hot one and I was a little envious of these fun folk who frolicked in the square.....

Fraser and I finished off his class gifts for him to take into school today...

The left over noses were snaffled during the night in a little movie watching.....
